[edit] As of December 2013 Skype has discontinued the use of third party plugins, and I’ve received word that this is annoying people. I did not create the original DiceRoller, but I did add its functionality to my chat-site www.OhMyUnix.com/Join2Chat [/edit]
So I was playing this game over skype with some friends, and I was rolling physical dice and showing it over a stream constantly… So that sucked and I google’d “Dice rolling on skype” or something.. And I came upon this !
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dicerollerv20fo/
DiceRoller V2.0
You download it, un-rar it, and you run the .exe file while logged in to skype!
QuickSolution, authorize on skype and type //2d6 to roll two six-sided dice!
More details.
Then skype will ask for authorization, and you press accept, and now anyone can roll a dice! and no one can cheat! thats awesome.
It is used by typing, eg. //2d6 , this means, roll 2 dice with 6 sides … This also means you can type //5d20 to roll 5, 20-sided dice. You may also exclude the first number if you only want to roll one die, that is //d6 rolls a six-sided die.
Also, at first it might not show the sum, which you might want, but you can write //2d6+0, and it will calculate the sum and add zero. You may also write //3d20+5 to add 5 to the sum of a roll of three 20-sided dice, which is used in some advanced roleplaying games.
