YouTube Auto HD 720p or 1080p in Chrome

So recently I got tired of all the youtube comments saying “OMG this song is so much better in 720p”, not that I don’t like the great music or my connection sucks, it’s just, when you’re listening to a playlist, you have to manually set it to 720p or 1080p for each song, and nobody wants to do that so I went to Google!

and Auto HD for YouTube is what I found, and you may find it here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/auto-hd-for-youtube/koiaokdomkpjdgniimnkhgbilbjgpeak

(If you try to find this addon in the Chrome Store, make sure you search for extensions, since it defaults to search for apps, which results in weird games with stunt bikes, birds and pigs etc..)

It is a very neat addon, with a very simple interface, seen below, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to.

From here you can both select your preferred definition (1080p | 720p | 480p | 360p | 240p), or the preferred screen settings (Wide | Normal).

Also, if you set it to eg. 1080p and that option isn’t available on the video, it will use the next available.

But ! It has no prebuffering, meaning, YouTube will still automatically start playing the songs. So if you set it to 1080p or 720p, and you connection can’t handle that, you’ll be greeted with a very laggy song, pausing to load every other second.
