Do You Wanna Do Some Snow, Man?

So I watched gangster – drug – oldschool movies the other day with a friend and a box of suboptimal redwine. We didn’t plan on a marathon, I just wanted to check out the first, but one movie kind of took the next one, so:

  • Black Mass (2015), with Johnny Depp. 7-9 / 10, really enjoyed it.
  • Blow (2001), also with Johnny. 7-9 / 10, classic.
  • Scarface (1983), with Al Pacino. 7-8 / 10, it’s a classic.

Anyways, I like to play around with words, and sometimes my head kind of spins in a direction, and I thought of doing a parody of Kristen Bell’s – Do You Want To Build A Snowman? from the lovely movie Frozen (2013), sung between the characters Anna and Elsa.

I started to associate the word snowman with the topic of aforementioned movies.

So, without further ado, in a different version, as sung by the drug lord Pablo Escobar (from the Netflix series Narcos, but an actual person in history) to his dear George Jung (From the movie Blow, but also actually real). Enjoy!

Do You Want To Do Some Snow, Man?

Pablo Escobar: George?
[Knocks]
Do you wanna do some snow, man?
Come on, let’s have a whiff!
We never do blow anymore,
Come out the door
It’s something I have missed!

We used to do a blizzard,
Ya-yo everywhere,
It got us up oh so high!

Do you wanna do some snow, man?
Doesn’t have to be just snow, man…

George Jung: Go away, Pablo.

Pablo: Okay, bye…

[Knocks]

Pablo:
Do you want to do some snow, man?
Or ship some drugs and bribe the feds?
I think some company is overdue
I’ve started talking to
The voices in my head!

(Hang in there, Mirtha.)

It gets a little lonely
All these piles of cash
Just watching the hours tick by…
(Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock)

[Partly crying]

[Knocks]

Pablo, please I know you’re in there
The crew is asking where you’ve been
They say, “Sell cocaine,” and I’m trying to
It’s right out here for you
Just let it in

We only have each other
It’s just you and me
How am I gonna sell?

Do you wanna do some snow, man? [sniff]

I know right? Can’t believe Disney didn’t go for that one.
